When you came to us, you were literally skin and bones
You were also missing a few patches of fur
However, we welcomed you into our home
And fed you until you filled out again
After a vet visit or two, things were great
Maybe you were just being grateful
But you returned our affection any time you could
Or maybe you just wanted a lot of attention
Either way, you made our home better
Even after you left
